Obituary

Murray, Betsy age 81 of St. Paul passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023, after living with Alzheimer’s.  Preceded in death by infant sons, Patrick and James; sisters, Mary Jane Becker and Catherine Rowan; and brother William McGraw.  Survived by sons, Dan (Cara), Tim (Ruth) and grandson Henry; sister Norrine Bohman; brother, Norm McGraw (Mary), former husband, Jim and many nieces and nephews.   Betsy was one of the all-time greatest talkers and a friend to many, especially her coworkers at Children’s Hospital.  She endured many health issues over the years but it never dampened her feisty spirit or wicked sense of humor. She was one of the toughest gals ever and kept a spotless house. She loved her family, loved being a grandma, reading, the outdoors and her cats. Celebration of Life Tuesday March 28 from 4-8 pm at the O’Halloran & Murphy Chapel, 575 S. Snelling Ave, St. Paul with a prayer and a time for sharing at 6:00 p.m.  Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society.  Thank you to the staff of Allina Hospice and Lyngblomsten for the wonderful care they provided to Betsy. A special thank you to her many, many visitors.
